I’m feeling tired
And I can’t breathe
I think the altitude is fuckin’ with me
I want to leave but I can’t go home
No I don’t know, just give me somewhere to go
I ran away
I met a girl
We hit the road and then we saw the world
Well here we are
Raining again
You’re on the phone and I’m waiting again
We’re in between, darlin’, rolling along
Nowhere to be, babe
But not for long
Elvis comes in
And he lets me know
My cab is here
And it’s time for me to go
Lord only knows how I wanted to stay
I’ve got a feeling we’ll be back some day

Oh Bobby please
Won’t you throw me the keys to the Jeep
‘Cause your brother Frankie hit me up
Oh happy days
I see Teddy out the window walking down my block
Well it’s already been so long
Don’t know if we’ll get to leave here or not
I guess you had to be there
Oh happy days
I see Maddie out on the corner cutting her grass
It’s like a dream living here
To bad it ain’t gonna last

I think about you all of the time
Up the East River, FDR Drive
It’ll work out
It’ll be fine
All of this will be over in time
I’m thinking about heading out west
I’ll end up at the ocean, I guess
Follow the coast to where we first met
We’ll go on further
In the summer, with my brother
Driving up First Avenue
All summer, no other
Stuck at home, feeling blue
In the summer, with my mother
Driving home on Central Avenue
All summer, no other
Stuck at home, feeling blue
All of the time.

I sit alone at the top of the stairs at my house
I sit alone at the top of the stairs at my house
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I took the door at the end of the hall and I walked out
I took the door at the end of the hall and I walked out
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I stood alone on the top of the bridge and I looked down
I stood alone on the top of the bridge and I looked down
I stood alone on the Washington Bridge and I looked down
I stood alone on the Washington Bridge and I looked down
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
I thought I saw your ghost
